    A brave five-year-old girl whose older sister beat leukaemia has been diagnosed with the same condition.

    Imogen Miller, from Aberdeenshire, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) in February after falling ill in December.

    Achilles' heel of AML discovered by British scientists

    The Achilles’ heel of an aggressive type of leukaemia has been discovered by British scientists. It opens the door to developing new drugs for a disease that is notoriously difficult to treat.

    There are around 3,100 new cases of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) every year. Survival rates are currently poor, with around 2,500 people dying each year from AML – that’s 7 people every day.
