Winners of Leuka's inaugural Travel Scholarships received their awards at the 19th Annual John Goldman Conference on Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia last month.
The ten winners of this new award from Leuka had their conference registration costs covered, plus a contribution towards travel expenses, enabling them to attend this annual conference that fosters learning and collaboration across the leukaemia research field.

We created the awards as attending conferences are an important aspect of a researcher’s career. Not only do they provide an up-to-date view of the latest findings, but they’re also the ideal opportunity to build a scientific network of potential international collaborators.
We provided a scholarship fund of £5000 in collaboration with the European School of Haematology (ESH) to provide 10 junior clinicians and scientists with the funding that would enable them to attend this year’s Annual John Goldman CML conference, held in Portugal.
We’ll release information on the whether the scholarship will return for 2018 on Twitter and Facebook, so ensure you’re following us for up-to-date funding news.
