13th March 2016
Who’s Cooking Dinner? is Leuka’s flagship fundraising event and I am delighted that once again it has been an outstanding success. This year the dinner, held on 7 March, raised an astonishing £500,815.

Now in it’s 17th year, the event still attracts some of the country’s leading chefs, including Mark Hix, Sally Clarke, Tim Hughes, Brett Graham and Rainer Becker. We also had many new faces in this year’s line-up including Nieves Barragán Mohacho, Dan Doherty, Gary Lee and Hideki Hiwatashi.
Most of the money raised on the night comes from the chefs’ auction. It takes enormous generosity of spirit to put yourself in an auction to cook for 10 people in their own home, but thankfully the chefs are never shy at donating their time and expertise to raise vital funds for Leuka.
Positive comments from the guests included:
“It ranks as one of the best evenings I have ever had thanks to you and your team.”
“Last night was absolutely brilliant; we drew Nathan Outlaw whose food and company was wonderful while Chris managed to nab himself dinner with Ashley Palmer-Watts in the auction! The speakers were fascinating, service was excellent and everyone at our table had an utterly lovely evening.”
The money raised will help us fund yet more research and support clinical trials developing new, much needed patient therapies, which is why everyone gets involved. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our chefs, guests, sponsors and the army of volunteers that make this special night not only happen but to exceed all expectations.
'Who's Cooking Dinner' is an annual fundraising dining event held in London to raise money for Leuka. The event was started in 1999 by restauranteur and Leuka Patron, Peter Gordon.
